moe pressurises you to build a stadium. you have to fund raise for it. you know your students most likely wont pay. your students are angry at the fact that they have to pay for a stadium that they wont use. you are tight on expenses. you want to push your school academic to a band 1 cause even xinmin sec sch is there. you want your students to have better discipline cause that's fundamental for good learning. blahblahblah..
would you feel stressed?

but..
as bentwy said, the approach is not correct. the school wants to reserve our chinese values and all, but they have to understand that the culture is changing and the fact that we are influenced by european culture cannot change. i do observe some chinese culture, i wear red on chinese new year though some dont anymore, i greet my grandparents, uncles and aunties with chinese greetings and they do so alike when we are exchanging hongbaos and oranges, i eat dumplings on duan wu jie, i eat mooncakes and carry lanterns on mooncake festival, blahblahblah..
but..
not everyone is the same. people have different mindset now, esp us youngsters. the more i feel that an authority is punishing me and scolding me for sth i think is unreasonable, i feel even more inclined to disobey. that's what they call rebellion.
i feel that adults have to understand and listen to us instead of just forcing their rules on us. i feel that the teachers in this school are in a really tight spot cause they are the only true ones who understand us, yet to keep their job they have to carry out the p's orders which are totally not understanding AT ALL.
why do A* p's dont understand this younger generation? every generation is different. i cannot stress that more. why do they have to force their rules on us? why cant they listen to us and then we can work out on sth that everyone agrees with? why are they demanding unreasonable stuff that we cannot produce? why are they trying to change our habits, instead of just putting it to good use?
i read one version of high school musical books, and the story was about gabriella having to coach sharpay in her studies. well, gabriella makes use of sharpay's acting talent, as she challenges sharpay that she can act all roles except that of a studious student. well sharpay tries her best to prove gabriella wrong, and soon she's studying harder than ever for her exams and does really well.
we can make use of bad habits to good use. i believe that.
well, HABIT. it's really hard to break. you take away the 'h' you still have ABIT. you take away the 'a' you still have BIT. you take away the 'b' you still have IT! the only way to remove the 'i' is through the 't', the cross. :)
