great job on the dance! haha i saw many of you posting that mr toh was impressed with our dance! i was really glad too! but one thing.. dancing still must sing ar! no further discussions! :D
it's really great, seeing the whole choir come and work towards something that we all want to achieve. it's also great hearing praise from our conductor, one that we have all come to love and respect. keep it up yeah!
just wanna encourage you all that no matter how sucky a song or alto's part in a song may sound, we will still do it yeah? treat it as a challenge for you all, to be able to learn a sucky song properly, and make it into a nice song.
i bet you all have heard of a song called luk luk lumbu, and all the seniors always propose to sing this song whenever something like open house comes up, cause we all love the song. and believe it or not, we used to hate the song. we hated it and we didnt want to learn it nor combine cause our parts were just sucky and the scores looked damn wierd and everything. surprisingly, we started to love the song once we combined it and it sounded great. once you stop focusing on how bad ur part sounds and hear the whole thing, it actually sounds great. take for instance gloria? our part does sound monotonous when we sing it. but i bet you all enjoyed it as much as i did when mr toh combined it on sat. i thought it sounded fantastic.
i really believe that every song will sound nice once you start to piece everything together, and really, dont judge a song by its cover.
